Ultrafix tablets contains carprofen. It is indicated for The Management of Osteoarthritis and Post Operative Pain in dogs. It is effective in Swollen Joints Pain. Dosage for dogs is 4 mg/kg for dogs once a day or 2 mg per kg twice daily.

Each tablet of Ultrafix contains:

Carprofen IP 50 mg/100 mg

Description / Action: 

Ultrafix tablets contains carprofen. It is indicated for The Management of Osteoarthritis and Post Operative Pain in dogs. It is effective in Swollen Joints Pain. Carprofen has Rapid and Maximum Bioavailability. Peak blood plasma concentration reaches within 1-3 hours 90% oral bioavaibility & 99% plasma protein bound.

It acts selectively on COX-2 receptors hence does not interfere other path way.

Indication / Uses:

Ultrafix (carprofen) tablets are indicated / Recommended for treatment of

– For Speedy Relief from Pain
– For post-operative pain management
– Safely recommended in Hip dysplasia & Arthritis
– Surgery
– Orthopaedic
– Prolyena
– Trauma

Dosage:

For dogs 6 weeks or older 4 mg/kg once daily or divided as 2 mg/kg twice a day

Overdoses / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:

As a general rule should not be administered with steroids and avoid giving on an empty stomach.

Pharmaceutical precautions / Instructions: 

Protect from heat and direct sunlight.  Normal pharmaceutical precautions can be followed.

Safety: Age / Pregnancy/ Withdrawal:

Not recommended in dogs below 4 months of the age. Always consult your veterinarian before using in pregnant and lactating female dogs.
