Carprofen 50 mg / 100 mg

Description:

Ostiguard tablets contains carprofen for as active ingredient. It inhibits COX-2 enzyme. Ostiguard is approved for long treatment in Osteoarthiritis, proven safety for 120 days.

Indications for use:

It is indicated for

– Pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis
– The control of postoperative pain associated with
* soft tissue and
*orthopedic surgeries in dogs

Administration / Dosage:

6 weeks or older:

4 mg/kg, which could be divided as mg/kg twice a day if required / directed by the veterinarian.

Ensure that the dog consumes the complete dose.

Over-dosage / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:

Common reported side effects are GI signs. Do not use in the dogs/puppies less than 6 weeks of age. For oral use in dogs only.

Safety / Pregnancy / Withdrawal:

Carprofen is not indicated in pregnant female dogs.

Store protected from light and moisture (at temperature not exceeding 30°C).

Keep out of reach of children. Not for human use. For animal treatment only.
