Ingredients & Composition:

Each uncoated CefPET XL tablet contains:
Cefpodoxime proxetil  IP    200 mg
Excipients     q.s.

Description / Action: 

CefPET XL Tablet contains 200 mg cefpodoxime proxetil a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic which is effective against most Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis.

Indication / Uses:

CefPET XL tablet is indicated for/in
• Skin infections,
• Respiratory tract infections,
• Urogenital tract infections and
• Gastrointestinal infections

Dosage and administration:

5 – 10 mg/kg body weight, once daily; orally

Species: Dogs

Overdoses / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:

Do not use in pets having a history of hypersensitivity for Cefpodoxime or other cephalosporins. Use with caution in patients having the renal disease (dose adjustment may be needed). May cause GI disturbance as the most common adverse effect/side effect.  Overdose related side effects have not been mentioned by the manufacturer. In case of accidental overdosing consult your veterinarian immediately.

Store in a cool and dry place. Protect from light. Strictly for veterinary use.
