Ingredients & Composition:

Each uncoated CefPET tablet contains:
Cefpodoxime proxetil  IP    100 mg
Excipients     q.s.

Each 5 ml of CefPET Suspension Contains:
Cefpodoxime proxetil  IP    100 mg

Description / Action: 

CefPET Tablet and dry syrup contain cefpodoxime proxetil a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. It is effective against most Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis.

Class: Antibiotics / Third Generation Cephalosporin

Indication / Uses:

CefPET tablet / CefPET Dry Syrup or suspension is indicated for/in
• Skin infections,
• Respiratory tract infections,
• Urogenital tract infections and
• Gastro-intestinal infections

Dosage and administration:

5 – 10 mg/kg body weight, once daily; orally

Species: Dogs and cats (For cats dose adjustment may be needed consult your veterinarian)

Overdoses / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:

Do not use in pets having a history of hypersensitivity for Cefpodoxime or other cephalosporins. Use with caution in patients having the renal disease (dose adjustment may be needed). May cause GI disturbance as the most common adverse effect/side effect.  Overdose related side effects have not been mentioned by the manufacturer. In case of accidental overdosing consult your veterinarian immediately.

Store in a cool and dry place. Protect from light. Strictly for veterinary use.
