Description / Action: 

Sil-C Shampoo is an Anti-Tick Shampoo specially made for the removal of fleas and ticks in adult Dogs. It contains cypermethrin as an active ingredient which is also effective on mites.

Pharmacodynamics:

The mechanism of action of cypermethrin is complex and it acts by modifying the voltage-gated sodium channels thereby delaying their closure. Cypermethrin disrupts the correct functioning of ion channels leading to the death of insects.

Indication / Usage/ Benefits:

SIL-C Shampoo is indicated for the treatment of ticks and fleas in dogs. It is also recommended for the prevention and treatment of ectoparasites (ticks and fleas that live above the skin) including ticks and fleas. Sil-C has low toxicity and a high margin of safety. It Kills all stages of ticks and fleas.

Dosage/ Administration:

Apply a sufficient quantity of shampoo on the heavily infested area. Approximately 0.5-1 ml of shampoo per kg body weight will be sufficient to cover the entire body.

The effective action will be there for 8-10 days.

Repeat the use of Sil-C shampoo, if the ticks are still persistent.

Directions for Use:

Apply to form a rich lather on a wet coat. Leave for 10-15 minutes for better effect. Rinse with water and towel dry. Avoid contact with eyes and ears. Do not allow it to lick until it gets dry.

Overdosage / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:

Mild and transient burning and stinging, Itching, Skin redness, Skin swelling, Skin rash.

Numbness or tingling where the medicine was applied.

Don’t use Sil C as regular shampoo. Only if the Pets are infested with ticks and fleas, it is recommended.

In case of suspected toxicity take to a nearby vet care facility or emergency center.

Safety/ Pregnancy/ Age:

Not advised for Pregnancy, lactation, sick dogs, and do not use in Cats.
