Description / Action: 

Permite Plus Shampoo is specially made for the removal of fleas and ticks in dogs and puppies. It contains permethrin which is a synthetic pyrethroid. It is very effective in treating sarcoptic and psoriatic mange or scabies.

Pharmacodynamics:

Permethrin is a synthetic neurotoxic pyrethroid class of medicine. It targets eggs, lice, and mites via sodium transport across neuronal membranes causes depolarisation, and kills the Ticks, Mites, and Lice. Coal tar is a keratolytic agent. It works by slowing bacterial growth and loosening and softening of scales and crust.

Class: Medicated Shampoo (Anti-tick)

Indication / Usage/ Benefits:

Permethrin kills the scabies mite and eggs. Permethrin is the drug of choice for the treatment of scabies.

Dosage/ Administration:

Moisten the skin coat. Apply a sufficient quantity of shampoo giving special attention to matted and tangled area. Approximately 0.5-1 ml of shampoo per kg body weight will be sufficient to cover the entire body.

The effective action will be there for 8-10 days.

Repeat the use of Permite Plus shampoo after 3 days, if needed.

Directions for Use:

Wet the coat, apply shampoo, and rub well to produce a lather. Massage gently in the opposite direction of the Hair coat which allows the shampoo to contact the Dermal Layers. Allow the shampoo to act for min 15-20 minutes for better results and rinse well with plain water.

Do not allow it to lick until it gets dry.

Overdosage / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:

Mild and transient burning and stinging. Itching, Skin redness, Skin swelling, Skin rash. Numbness or tingling where the medicine was applied. Scabies symptoms may temporarily worsen after treatment.

Coal tar contains 3 toxins: phenol, cresol, and pitch. Phenol is the most important toxin in coal-tar products. Cresols are used as disinfectants and are readily absorbed through the skin.

In case of suspected toxicity take to a nearby vet care facility or emergency center.

Cats are especially sensitive to both phenol and cresol.

Safety/ Pregnancy/ Age:

Permethrin is safe and effective when used. Not advised for Pregnancy, lactation, sick dogs, and Don’t use in Cats.

Keep in a cool dry place at room temperature. Keep out of reach of Children.
