Description / Action: 

Melopet tablets contains meloxicam 2.5 mg which is a NSAID and works by inhibiting COX (cyclo-oxygenase) enzyme.

Indication / Uses:

• Dental procedures
• Otits
• Fever
• Pain & inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders

Dosage and administration / Directions for use:

Initial Dose : 0.2 mg/kg bw once in a day

Maintenance dose : 0.1 mg/kg bw once in a day

Or as directed by the veterinarian

Over-dosage / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:

Common side effects are GI signs like ulceration, malena, vomiting, diarrhoea, loss of appetite. Overdosing may result in to serious complications or may be lethal.

Safety / Pregnancy / Age:

No information available for use and safety in pregnant or breeding animals. Should not be used without veterinarian’s advice in dogs/cats less than 4 kg bodyweight and 6 weeks of age.
