Ingredients & Composition:

Each uncoated petoxicam-5 tablet contains:
Meloxicam BP   5 mg
Excipients          q.s.

Each 1 ml contains:
Meloxicam BP   1.5 mg
In a Chicken Flavoured base        q.s.

Description / Action: 

Petoxicam Palatable Tablets and Oral Suspension contains meloxicam; an NSAID / non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. This is used to treat a variety of pain, inflammation, and fever.

Indication / Uses:

• Inflammation,
• Musculoskeletal Pain,
• Osteoarthritis,
• Fever

Dosage and administration / Directions for use:

Dogs : 0.2 mg/kg body weight initially, then 0.1 mg/kg
body weight orally once a day for follow up

Cats : 0.1 mg/kg body weight initially, then 0.05 mg/kg
body weight orally once a day for follow up or as directed by veterinarian
Suspension is suitable for both dogs and cats.

Over-dosage / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:

Overdosing may cause GI signs like vomiting, malena, diarrhoea. Contraindicated in patients with GI disease and blood clotting problems.

Safety / Pregnancy / Age:

Not indicated in pregnant animals and animals less than 6 weeks of age.

Pharmaceutical precautions / Instructions: 

Store at a temperature below 30°C. Protect from light and moisture. Not for human use. For treatment of animals only. Keep the medicine out of reach of children. Always shake the oral suspension well before each use.
