Ingredients & Composition:

Each 5 ml reconstituted suspension contains:
Cefpodoxime Proxetil IP.
eq. to Cefpodoxime             100 mg
Potassium Clavulanate Diluted IP
eq. to Clavulanic Acid         62.5 mg

Description / Action: 

HestaCef CV Dry Syrup contains cefpodoxime proxetil and potassium clavulanate. It’s a combination of third-generation cephalosporin with beta lactamase inhibitor.

This Broad-Spectrum antibiotic syrup is used for bacterial infections like Dermatitis, Pneumonia in dogs and cats, which breaks the antimicrobial resistance in bacteria that secrete ß-lactamase, which are mainly responsible for the recurrent bacterial infections.

Class: Antibiotics (3rd Generation Cephalosporin)

Indication / Uses:

Used to treat the following bacterial infections
• Skin and soft tissue infections
• Respiratory tract infections
• Urogenital tract infections
• Gastrointestinal infections

Dosage and administration:

5-10 mg per kg body weight, once a day orally

or as directed by veterinarians.

Over-dosage / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:

May cause hypersensitivity reaction in pets sensitive for cefpodoxime. In some pets it may cause gastrointestinal signs like diarrhoea or vomiting occasionally.

Pharmaceutical precautions / Instructions: 

Store in a dry, cool and dark place.  For Veterinary use. Not for use in humans. Keep out of reach of children. Shake well before each use and use reconstituted syrup within a week.

Safe for use in young dogs/ cats.
