Cefpodoxime Proxetil IP
Equivalent to Cefpodoxime 50mg
Excipients q.s.

Each 5ml of reconstituted suspension contains:
Cefpodoxime Proxetil IP
Equivalent to Cefpodoxime 100mg
Excipients           q.s.

Description:

Kefodoxime Vet DS is Cefpodoxime Oral Suspension. Cefpodoxime is a third-generation Cephalosporin antibiotic.

Indications for use:

It is indicated for variety of bacterial infections including: –
• Urinary Tract Infections
• Ear Infections
• Respiratory Infections
• SSTI (Skin and Soft Tissue Infections)

Administration / Dosage:

5-10 mg/kg body weight once a day. For more details, please refer pack insert.

Over-dosage / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:

Cefpodoxime is contraindicated in patients having hypersensitivity to it or other cephalosporins. Reconstituted suspension should be kept in refrigerator and discarded after 14 days.

Safety / Pregnancy / Withdrawal:

Though safety has not been demonstrated but always consult your veterinarian before using in pregnant and lactating female dogs / cats.

Pharmaceutical precautions / Instructions:

Store protected from light and moisture at 20-25°C. Not for human use. For animal treatment only / veterinary use only.
