In the treatment of bacterial infections of
- Alimentary tract infections
- Respiratory tract infections
- Urogenital tracts infections
- Skin infections
- Secondary wound infections
- Otitis externa
- Osteomyelitis
- Sinus infections
- Difficult soft tissue infections
- Peritonitis
- Pleuritis
- Pneumonia
Dosage and administration / Directions for use:
Dog: 5mg/kg body wt.
Cat: 5 mg/kg body wt as a single dose or equally divided dosages 12 hrs apart
Scored tablets for accurate dosing. The positive feature of enrofloxacin is that it is absorbed well orally and in many cases, can be given once per day.
Over-dosage / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:
Use with caution and appropriate dosage in cats. GI signs are the most commonly observed side effects. Prolonged use in young animals may cause skeletal deformities.
Safety / Pregnancy / Age:
Dogs under one year of age (in large breeds of dogs 18 months) and cats below eight weeks of age should not be treated with EnroKO tablets.
Pharmaceutical precautions / Instructions:
Veterinary. Not for human use. For animal treatment only. Store in a cool, dry, and dark place. Keep out of reach of children.
Withdrawal Period: Meat: 8 days after last administration
