Leptospirosis is an infectious disease, acute febrile and which aff ects humans and animals caused by bacteria of the genus Leptospira spp., distributed in more than 250 serovars and about 20 diff erent serogroups scattered throughout the world. Vaccination is an important prevention strategy, however, there is no cross-protection between the diff erent existing serogroups. For this reason, there is a need to vaccinate animals against diff erent serogroups, seeking greater protection. In India, the most frequent serovars are: L. canicola, icterohaemorrhagiae, australis, pomona, pyrogenes and hardjo1
