Ingredients & Composition:

Each chewable tablet contains:
Praziquantel   IP                   50 mg
Pyrantel Embonate   IP         144 mg
Febantel                             150 mg
Excipients                                 q.s

Description / Action: 

WormPeril Tablets are broad-spectrum dewormer for dogs with a combination of praziquantel, pyrantel, and febantel. It is effective against tapeworms, ascarids (roundworms), hookworms, and whipworms.

Praziquantel:
Function: Effective against tapeworms.
Mechanism: Praziquantel works by disrupting the parasite’s cell membrane, causing paralysis and death of the tapeworms, which are then expelled from the dog’s body through natural processes.

Pyrantel:
Function: Targets ascarids (roundworms) and hookworms.
Mechanism: Pyrantel acts as a neuromuscular blocker, causing paralysis of the worms. This paralysis allows the body to expel the worms through peristalsis.

Febantel:
Function: Effective against whipworms and enhances the action against other nematodes.
Mechanism: Febantel is a pro-drug that is converted into fenbendazole and oxfendazole in the body. It interferes with the energy metabolism of the parasites, leading to their death.

Indication / Uses:

It aids in the control, killing and removal of mixed infections by:
Tapeworm:Echincoccus multilocularis and removal of Taenia pisiformis, Dipylidium caninum,Echinococcus granulosus,
Ascarids: Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina
Hookworms:Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala
Whipworm:Trichuris vulpis

Dosage and administration:

For dogs: 1 tablet per 10 kg body weight daily or as directed by veterinarians.
Can be used in dogs above three months of age. Frequency is every three months after age of 6 months.

Over-dosage / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:

In some pets, it may cause gastrointestinal signs like diarrhoea or vomiting occasionally.

Store in a dry, cool and dark place.  For Veterinary use. Not for use in humans. Keep out of reach of children.

Safety: Age / Pregnancy/ Withdrawal:

Safe for use in young dogs. Should be avoided in pregnant female dogs.
