Description / Action: 

Visiocare – Cyclosporine Ophthalmic Ointment contains cyclosporine  / Ciclosporin as an active ingredient. Ciclosporin acts as a local immunomodulator in cases of immune-mediated disease like Keratoconjunctivitis sicca and chronic superficial keratitis. In both cases, ciclosporin increases lacrimation but the mechanism is poorly understood.

Indication / Uses:

Visiocare – Cyclosporine Ophthalmic Ointment is helpful in

• Management of KCS or Keratoconjunctivitis Sicca in dogs
• Management of Chronic Superficial Keratitis (CSK)

Dosage and Administration:

Restrain the dog and remove debris with any suitable non-irritating solutions. Apply ¼ inch strip of ointment. Apply 2 times a day at 12 hours interval in affected eyes. Place directly on the cornea or conjunctival sac.

Species: Dogs only

Duration: Dogs suffering from KCS need lifelong therapy.

Over-dosage / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:

No known interactions and adverse or side effects have been reported.

Reduced clinical symptoms may be due to change in weather like the onset of winters, lower altitudes, indoors and it is due to the reduction in the UV light radiation.

Non-responsive cases to ciclosporin should be re-evaluated and different therapy should be instituted.

It is recommended for use only in dogs.

Discard the remaining or unused contents of the tube after one month of the opening.
