Pyrantel Embonate IP          14.4 mg
Fenbantel IP 15 mg
Aqueous base           q.s.

Description / Action:

Eazypet Puppy Oral Suspension have two active ingredients Pyrental embonate and Febantal having different modes of action and spectra of activity against hookworms, ascarids and whipworms.

It is a multi-spectrum dewormer to eliminate hookworms, ascarids and nematodes (including whipworms) in puppies and young dogs. Easy on gut and hard on internal parasites. It is the most efficacious and a complete dewormer for puppies and young dogs. It also helps to maintain healthy skin and lustrous coat. Prevents loss of nutrients to worms thereby supports healthy growth. It comes with calibrated dropper for easy and accurate dosing compliance.

It helps puppies to overcome the first challenges, vicious health hazards at an early age, Stunted Growth, Weak Skin and Rough Coat.

Puppies are most prone to G.I. worms which may lead to release of toxins, Impaired Immunity, Loss of valuable nutrients and blood.

Pyrantel Embonate:

Pyrantel Embonate is active against hookworms and ascaris.

Mode of action: Promote the release of acetylcholine, inhibits cholinesterase, and stimulates ganglionic neurons thus, depolarizing neuromuscular blocking agent in helminthes. This causes extensive depolarization of the helminthic muscle membrane, leading to paralysis and release of their attachment from the host.

Febantel:

Febantel is active against nematode parasites including whipworms.

Mode of action: Febantel inhibits fumarate reductase in the worm, thereby blocking glucose uptake leading to energy exchange breakdown and inhibited glucose uptake. Thereby starving parasites to their death.

Indications / Uses:

Eazypet Puppy Oral Suspension is indicated for deworming / control and treatment of gastrointestinal in puppies and young dogs against
• Ascarids: Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina
• Hookworms: Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala
• Whipworms: Trichuris vulpis

Dosage and administration:

Eazypet Puppy Oral Suspension dosage

1 ml of oral suspension per kilogram body weight or as directed by Veterinarian.
This corresponds to 15 mg/kg body weight Febental and 14.4 mg/kg bodyweight Pyrental embonate.

Eazypet PUPPY can be administered either directly or can be mixed with food. There are no dietary precautions to be taken for drug administration.

For oral administration only.

No starvation is needed before or after treatment.

Not recommended in cats.

Recommendations:

Ascarid infestation in puppies may occur at early age through intrauterine and trans-mammary route. Therefore, it is recommended that dosing should be started at two weeks of age. Treat at 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th and 12th weeks of age, then every month until 6 months of age and thereafter every 3 months or as directed by the Veterinarian.

Overdoses / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:

Do not use concurrently with compounds containing Piperazine. The anthelmintic effects of both Pyrantel (spastic paralysis) and Piperazine (neuromuscular paralysis) may be antagonised on concurrent use. The safety of the product has not been assessed in puppies younger than 2 weeks and weighing less than 0.60 kg.

Doses of up to 5 times, the therapeutic level of Eazypet PUPPY have been administered to puppies and young dogs without any adverse effects. At 10 times the recommended dose, vomiting is the first sign of intolerance recorded.

In rare cases mild vomiting and diarrhoea may occur after administration. In case of accidental overdosing immediately consult your veterinarian.

Pharmaceutical precautions / Instructions: 

Normal precautions can be followed for storage. Store in a cool, dark and dry place. Shake well before use. Not for human use. Wash hands carefully before and after use. Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes. In case of accidental spillage wash the area immediately with clean running water.

Safety: Age / Pregnancy/ Withdrawal:

Suitable for all breeds of dogs. Always consult your veterinarian before using. Do not use in pregnant and lactating bitches. It has no withdrawal side effects. For puppies and dogs upto one year of age.
