Vetclin Tablets, Injection and Oral Solution contain clindamycin. It is a broad-spectrum antibiotics for Dogs and Cats. Clindamycin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to 23S RNA of the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome. It impedes both the assembly of the ribosome and the translation process.

Description / Action:
Vetclin Tablets, Injection and Oral Solution contain clindamycin. It is a broad-spectrum antibiotics for Dogs and Cats. Clindamycin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to 23S RNA of the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome. It impedes both the assembly of the ribosome and the translation process.

Indication / Usage:
VetClin is indicated for the treatment of
• Haemoprotozoan diseases of Dogs and Cats including Ehrlichia canis, Babesia gibsoni Toxoplasmosis.
• Pyoderma caused by Staphylococcus
• For treating Dental Infection.
• For treating Osteomyelitis
• For treatment of Wounds and Abscess.
Dosage/ Administration:
Dog – 11-33 mg/Kg b.wt. The dose is repeated once in 12 hours.
For Cats the dose is 11-33 mg/kg.b.wt/day or as directed by Veterinarian.
For Pyoderma @ 25mg/kg b.wt. for min 4 weeks or as directed by Veterinarian.
It is indicated for treatment of dental and bone infections including Osteomyelitis, wounds, and abscesses.
Directions for Use:
VetClin Tab should be given after food. VetClin Inj should be administered through either Intravenous or Intramuscular route. VetClin oral liquid should be given after food.

Overdosage / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:
Vomiting, diarrhea, and occasionally bloody diarrhea in dogs. Cats may experience drooling and lip-smacking after taking the medication.
Safety/ Pregnancy/ Age:
Clindamycin will cross the placenta if used in pregnant dogs and cats. It will also be readily transferred to nursing young Puppies and Kittens and can induce diarrhea. Dosage may need to be changed in patients with kidney or liver disease.
Pharmaceutical precautions / Instructions:
Store between 20° to 25°C. Protect from light & moisture. Keep all medicine out of reach of children. For veterinary use only. Not for human use. Shake the suspension well before use and place the cap tightly after use.
