Ingredients & Composition:

Clivet Tablets contain –
Clindamycin 150 mg and 300 mg

Clivet Oral Suspension contains
Clindamycin 25 mg/1 ml

Clivet Injection contains –
Clindamycin 300 mg/2 ml

Description / Action: 

Clivet clindamycin is for anaerobic bacterial infection. It is most effective & successful in the treatment of bone disorder like osteomyelitis in dogs and cats. It has high tissue concentration and effective in the treatment of soft tissue skin infections like pyoderma, wound and abscess. It is also indicated in treatment of dental infections and babesiosis.

Indication / Uses:

Clivet – Clindamycin is indicated in dogs and cats for the treatment of
• Bone disorder (Osteomyelitis)
• Skin infection (Pyoderma)
• Dental infections
• Babesiosis

Dosage and administration:

Bone disorder (Osteomyelitis)
11 mg/kg of body weight daily/twice a day, given orally for 28 days, efficacious treatment of post-traumatic cause by S. aureus caused Osteomyelitis in dogs

Babesiosis     25 mg/kg body weight BID

Pyoderma / Ear Infection    5.5-11mg/kg body weight BID

Overdoses / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:

Contraindications and warnings have not been mentioned on the product label by the manufacturer. Ask your veterinarian in case of accidental overdosing. Adverse reactions include vomiting, diarrhoea, and colitis. In cats prefer syrup or administer tablets with small quantities of water.

Store in a cool dry and dark place. Shake well before use.
