Description / Action: 

Unomarin syrup/liquid is a liver rejuvenator. It has been standardized to contain 80% silymarin; the highest percentage available in any liver nutritional products.  It rejuvenates the liver by enhancing the proliferation and protection of hepatocytes. Unomarin helps to optimize liver function and cellular metabolism.

Unomarin promotes hepatocyte proliferation – it promotes hepatocyte protein synthesis, helps in membrane synthesis, improves hepatocyte metabolism

Unomarin helps in hepatocyte protection – Regulates cellular permeability, increases intracellular glutathione concentration, restores antioxidants (Vit. E, Vit. C), Reduces lipid peroxidation, cleanses, and detoxifies the liver.

Unomarin has anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic properties – Regulates inflammatory mediators (TNF, TNFα, IL-6, IL-1), increases lymphocyte proliferation (IFγ, IL-4), Reduces conversion of hepatic stellate cells into myofibrils

A retrospective study on 64 cases was conducted at Hemopet, USA. Dogs with a minimum of 10% elevation in ALT (SGPT) and AST (SGOT) were selected for trials. A repeat test was conducted after 5-15 weeks. On the basis of paired t-test analysis, it was observed that ALT and AST values have decreased up to 97% and 72% respectively.
