Description / Action: 

Ridd solution contains amitraz which is a drug of choice for canine demodicosis. Ridd 12.5% liquid is a potent miticide effective against both sacroptic and demodectic mange in dogs, cats and large animals. Ridd also controls ticks, fleas and lice infestation effectively in animals. Amitraz acts on mites by interacting with octapamine receptors and inhibiting monoamine oxidase enzyme in mite’s body and thereby results in paralysis and death of mites. Ridd contains specific carrier that enhances the penetrability of Amitraz to provide the best result.

Indication / Uses / Benefits:

Ridd Solution is indicated for treatment and control of

• Mites (sarcoptic and demodectic mange)
• Ticks
• Fleas
• Lice

Dosage and administration:

Dilution (per liter of water)

Dogs and Cats: 

Ticks and fleas:  2 ml

Mange:      3-4 ml

Large animals:

Earsore / Hump Sore:  2 ml

Mange:      3-4 ml

For sarcoptic mange – 2-3 applications

For demodectic mange – 5-8 applications

Cleaning of the affected area and bathing the animals prior to application is necessary. Clip the hairs if necessary. Dilute the Ridd 12.5% solution as per the recommended dilution and apply all over the body with thorough scrubbing. Don’t wash after application and let it get air dry. Avoid bathing until a week after application.

Use of PetBen Shampoo is recommended along with Ridd in treatment of mange.

Store in a well closed container. Keep away from direct sunlight and children. For animal use only.

Safety/ Age / Contraindications:

Not recommended for use in pups below 4 months of the age. Before using in Chihuahuas, Yorkshire Terrriers, Poodles (half the dosage) and cats consult your veterinarian. It may cause toxicity if licked or consumed. Contact your vet/physician immediately in case of accidental poisoning or toxicity.
