Ingredients & Composition:

Each PetQuin 50 mg tablet contains
Enrofloxacin               50 mg

Each PetQuin 150 mg tablet contains
Enrofloxacin               150 mg

Description / Action: 

Pet Quin tablets contain enrofloxacin; a broad-spectrum antibiotic for dogs and cats. These are melt-in-mouth flavoured tablets. The bactericidal action of enrofloxacin is due to its inhibitory action on bacterial DNA gyrase.

Class: Fluoroquinolone Antibiotic

Indication / Uses:

PetQuin tablets are indicated in dogs/cats for the treatment of bacterial infections of

• Alimentary, respiratory & urogenital tract ,
• Skin, secondary wound infections &
• Otitis externa.

Dosage and administration:

5 mg/kg body weight

To be administered once daily. Also can be given as a divided dose twice daily.

Duration:

 For 3 to 10 days with or without food.

Over-dosage / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:

Use with caution in epileptic animals. Concurrent use of ciclosporin may decrease the metabolism and increase the nephrotoxicity of ciclosporin.

Safety: Age / Pregnancy/ Withdrawal:

Dogs below 1 year of age (in large breeds under 18 months) & cats below 8 weeks of age should not be treated with Enrofloxacin. Safety regarding the use of enrofloxacin in breeding and pregnant animals has not been stated.
