Each film-coated tablet contains

Amoxycillin Trihydrate IP
Equivalent to anhydrous Amoxycillin   400 mg
Potassium Clavulanate IP
Equivalent to Clavulanic Acid      100mg
Lactic Acid Bacillus                     60 million spores
Excipients          q.s.
Color: Titanium dioxide IP

Description / Action: 

Mentin Duo tablets contain amoxicillin-clavulanic acid with lactic acid bacillus to overcome gastrointestinal upset associated with dysbiosis. Amoxycillin works by binding with the bacterial cell walls and hampers cell wall synthesis. Clavulanate potentiates the effect by neutralizing beta-lactamase produced by bacteria.

Indication / Uses:

• Acute Otitis Media,
• Pneumonia,
• UTI (Urinary tract infections),
• Skin & Soft Tissues Infection
• RTI infections
• Infections in ear, nose & throat
• Otitis media
• Wound infections

Dosage and administration:

For Dogs and Cats: Oral, 11 to 20 mg of Amoxycillin and 2.75 to 5 mg of Clavulanic Acid per kg of body weight every eight to twelve hours.

The tablet should be swallowed whole. Do not allow it to be chewed or crushed. Can be masked or disguised in food.

Overdoses / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:

Most common side effects like gastrointestinal disturbances are commonly seen. Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to amoxicillin.

Pharmaceutical precautions / Instructions: 

Keep in a dry place. Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Protect from light.
Keep the medicine out of reach of children.

Safety: Age / Pregnancy/ Withdrawal:

Not contraindicated for use any age group or life stages of dogs and cats. Dosage adjustment is required in critically ill patients.
