Sterile Ceftriaxone Sodium IP
eq. to Ceftriaxone 500 mg
Sterile Tazobactam Sodium IP
eq. to Tazobactam 62.5 mg
Description / Action:
CefShot Tazo Injection contains ceftriaxone and tazobactam sodium. It is a combination of third-generation cephalosporin with beta-lactamase inhibitor.
Highly effective third-generation cephalosporin with tazobactam is effective in case of ß-lactamase resistant bacterial infections particularly post-surgical Interventions. Ceftriaxone crosses both blood-brain and placental barriers. Ceftriaxone levels are much higher in Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) in case of meningitis. Tazobactam is effective in case of B-lactamase resistant bacterial infections.

Indication / Uses:
Used to treat the bacterial infections like
• Surgical prophylaxis
• Skin and soft tissue infections
• Respiratory tract infections
• Acute otitis media
• Bacterial septicemia
• Bone and joint infections
• GI Infections
• Meningitis
Dosage and administration:
It can be in given @ 15-25 mg/kg every 24 hours for 3 to 5 days
Intramuscular, Intravenous route only

Over-dosage / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:
May cause a hypersensitivity reaction in pets sensitive for ceftraixome or tazobactam. It may cause GI signs like vomition / diarrhoea occasionally.

Store in a dry, cool and dark place. For Veterinary use. Not for use in humans. Keep out of reach of children both. For Veterinary Use Only.
Safety: Age / Pregnancy/ Withdrawal:
Safe for use in young dogs/ cats. It has not shown teratogenic effect on foetus when used in pregnant female pets. Consult with your veterinarian before using in lactating/pregnant female dogs and cats.
