Petrolatum, Cetearyl alcohol, Sodium lauryl sulfate, Paraffin, Isopropyl myristate, Mel, Thymus serpyllum, Lavandula angustifolia, Melaleuca quinquenervia, Pogostemon cablin, Ocimum basilicum

Description / MOA:

Vetramils medicinal honey decrease the use of antibiotics in animals. Honey has efficient antimicrobial effects due to its high glucose oxidase enzyme content, sugars that create an osmotic pressure and formation of a low PH at the wound site. Vetramil honey ointment contains specific essential oils which softens and protects the dry skin the essential oils also work with bacterial and fungal infections.

The essential oils prevent animals from licking due to bitter taste of the ointment and repel insects. Low pH of Vetramil ointment supports the condition and natural resistance of the skin. It stimulates healing of minor and large wounds, fights wound infections. Vetramil soothes and protects wounded and irritated skin. The ointment contains honey with a very high enzyme content Which have an anti-bacterial effect and rapidly clean infected wounds. The low pH creates a natural and healing wound environment Essential oils stimulate repair of the damaged skin and enhance the disinfecting activity.

Indications for use:

• Superficial and open wounds (decreases wound infection)
• Lacerations, abrasions and avulsions
• Decubital ulcers
• Chronic and infected wounds
• Itchy skin and eczema
• Abscesses
• Wounds difficult to bandage

Administration / Dosage:

Vetramil sooths the red skin and regenerates. Vetramil ointment can be covered by a secondary dressing. Vetramil has no waiting time.

• Vetramil ointment can be applied 1-2 times per day.
• If necessary, clean the impaired skin with water and dip dry with clean tissue.
• Apply 1-2 times per day
• Massage well onto the irritated skin
• Vetramil ointment can be combined with a gauze dressing
• Continue treatment until the skin has fully recovered

Over-dosage / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:

Do not use the ointment if the packaging is damaged. Close the packaging after use. Avoid contamination of the contents. Use the contents within 3 months after opening. There is no waiting period after application of Vetramil. Side effects for this topical product have not been mentioned by the manufacturer.

Pharmaceutical precautions / Instructions:

Vetramil Ointment / products do not contain pharmaceutical substances. The products have shelf life of three years after pad impregnation and sterilization. The storage conditions/temperature is between 4° and 30°C or at room temperature.
