Pooch Uroflow tablets contain torsemide which is a loop diuretic drug. It works by inhibiting the Na / K/ Cl cotransport in the thick ascending limb of the loop of Henle. It works by increasing the loss of water & salt in the urine. This decreases the overall blood volume, reducing the effort needed for the heart to pump blood & thereby improving its function. It provides complete management of renal excretion and Congestive heart failure (CHF).

Pooch Uroflow tablets contain torsemide which is a loop diuretic drug. It works by inhibiting the Na / K/ Cl cotransport in the thick ascending limb of the loop of Henle. It works by increasing the loss of water & salt in the urine. This decreases the overall blood volume, reducing the effort needed for the heart to pump blood & thereby improving its function. It provides complete management of renal excretion and Congestive heart failure (CHF).
Torsemide has a higher bioavailability and longer duration of action in comparison to furosemide. It has 20 times more diuretic effects in comparison to furosemide.
Class: Diuretics (Loop Diuretic)
Indication / Usage:
It is indicated in dogs and cats for the treatment / clinical management of
- Edema (Fluid retention; excess fluid held in body tissues) caused by various medical problems, including heart, kidney, or liver disease (Ascites).
- Congestive heart failure
- Management of renal excretion
- Supports electrolyte balance
Dosage/ Administration / Feeding Directions:
The recommended dose of torasemide is 0.1 – 0.6 mg per kg body weight, once daily. The dose can be increased or decreased as directed by the veterinarian.
Dosage can be divided into two equal parts between AM and PM. Can be started from 0.3 mg and increment or reduction should be done at @0.1 mg/kg body weight.
Overdosage / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:
Do not use in cases of Renal Failure, Dehydration, Anuria & Hypotension. It may cause hypokalemia and hypochloremia. Polyuria, polydipsia, and prerenal azotemia. For cats calculate the dosage carefully and it’s 1/20 of furosemide.

Store at room temperature (15°-25°C or 59°-77°F). Protect from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep reaching out of the children. Refer to the product label or package insert for additional information.
