Tramadol Hydrochloride IP 100 mg

In a chicken flavoured base          q.s.

Description / Action: 

PetPaltra Oral Solution contains tramadol hydrochloride which is an opioid analgesic. It works mainly on the mu receptors.

Class: Analgesic (Opioid Analgesic)

Indication / Uses:

• Moderate to Severe Pain
• Highly Effective in Gastric, Pancreatic & Post Surgery Pains
• Safe Alternative to NSAIDs (Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs)

Dosage and administration / Directions for use:

Dogs : 2 to 5 mg/kg body weight orally, 12 hourly
Cats : 2 to 4 mg/kg body weight orally, 12 hourly
or as directed by veterinarian
Suitable for both dogs and cats.

Over-dosage / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:

Sedation can occur with higher doses of tramadol in dogs and dysphoria (state of worry and unhappiness) in cats. May cause seizures in treated animals occasionally.

Safety / Pregnancy / Age:

Tramadol can be used safely in combination with NSAIDs. No information available regarding use in young, pregnant or breeding animals. Please consult your veterinarian before using.

Pharmaceutical precautions / Instructions: 

Store at temperature not exceeding 30°C. Protect from light and moisture. Not for human use. For treatment of animals only. Keep the medicine out of reach of children.
