Indications / Uses:
Neomac tablets are indicated for control/treatment of
Endoparasites like
G.I. worms,
Lungworms,
Eye worms,
Heartworms (microfilaria)
Ectoparasites like
Lice,
Mites causing demodectic, sarcoptic, Psoroptic, Otodectic, and Notodectic mange.
Dosage and administration:
For Endoparasites
Nematodes @ 200 mcg/kg b.wt. as a single dose
Whipworms @ 200 mcg / kg b. wt. once daily for three days
Microfilaria of Heartworm @ 50 mcg/kg B.wt. once a month
For Ectoparasites
Sarcoptes, Otodectes and Cheyletiella mites @ 200 – 250 mcg/kg b.wt. twice in a week in a week till clinical and parasites cure.
Demodex mites @ 300 – 600 mcg/kg b.wt. once daily until 2 negative skin scrapping tests.
Overdoses / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:
Overdose may cause neurotoxicity / Ivermectin toxicity in dogs. Administration to collies and related breeds is not recommended. Contraindicated in Compromised liver status. Avoid in pups and kittens below 3 months of age. (Ref: Std textbooks)
Self-medication and overdosing may result into serious side effects.
Pharmaceutical precautions / Instructions:
Normal precautions can be followed for storage.

Use with caution in very young and senior pets and pets with a history of liver ailments.
