Each uncoated tablet contains:
Ivermectin IP              10 mg
Excipients          q.s.
Colour: Tartrazine Yellow

Description / Action: 

Palactin tablets contain ivermectin which is broad spectrum parasiticide works by inhibiting GABA and glutamate-gated channels.

Class: Ecto/Endoparasiticide

Indication / Uses:

• Mange,
• Ectoparasites,
• Heart Worm,
• Maggot Wounds &
• Intestinal Worms

Dosage and administration / Directions for use:

Endoparasites

Nematodes 0.2 mg/kg body weight orally as a single dose
Whipworms 0.2 mg/kg body weight orally for 3 days
Microfilaria of Heartworm 0.05 mg/kg body weight orally once a month

Ectoparasites

Sarcoptes, Otodectes and Cheyletiella Mites: 0.2 to 0.25 mg/kg body weight orally twice a week till symptoms subside
Demodex Mites: 0.3 to 0.6 mg/kg body weight orally once daily until 2 negative skin scrapping tests
Ticks: 0.2 mg/kg body weight orally as single dose
Lice: 0.2 mg/kg body weight orally weekly interval

Over-dosage / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:

Ivermectin should not be used on Collies or Herding Breeds such as Shetland Sheepdogs, Old English Sheepdogs & Australian Shepherd.

Safety / Pregnancy / Age:

Neurotoxicity may be seen in case of overdosing.
