No known Contraindications. If dog has history of epilepsy or seizures then consult with your veterinarian prior to use. It is safe in healthy dogs if given according to the labelled dosage and directions.

Test the dog for heartworm infections prior to treatment with Interceptor plus. If the dog is tested positive then treat to remove adult heart worms first as both of the ingredients are not effective against adult . Dosing fewer than 6 at monthly intervals after the last exposure to mosquitoes may not provide complete heartworm prevention.

Not recommended for use in puppies less than 6 weeks of age and dogs or puppies weighing less than two pounds of body weight.

The safety for use in breeding or in lactating female dogs has not been evaluated. Use in lactating or nursing female dogs may lead to side effects in puppies like depression, diarrhoea, nasal discharge, decreased activity and dehydration.

Adverse Reactions / Side Effects:

Adverse reactions like diarrhea, anorexia, convulsions, vomiting, weakness, depression/lethargy, and salivation have been reported in dogs after administration of milbemycin oxime or praziquantel. Transient or mild hypersensitivity reactions like labored breathing, hypersalivation, lethargy, and vomiting have been noted in some dogs treated with milbemycin oxime carrying a high number of circulating microfilariae. These reactions are presumably caused by release of protein from dead or dying microfilariae.
