Indication / Uses:
Cardiopet Tablets / Ramipril / ACE inhibitors are indicated in dogs and cats for
• ACE – Inhibitors have long been recognized as an effective treatment for cardiac insufficiencies in Canines
• They are generally well tolerated and Ramipril is approved for Dogs with Chronic heart failure (CHF)
• It will reduce LV mass, improve Diastolic Function, alters DE and reduce Myocardial fibrosis in Cats with HCM (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) without congestive heart failure (CHF).
• It is also evidently effective in Dogs & Cats with Chronic Renal Failure (CRF) by decreasing the glomerular Capillary pressure.
• Moreover, its anti-proteinuric effects, helps to decrease the renal lesion (S)
• It prevents the formation of Angiotensin II as well as the degradation of bradykinin which increases the stimulation of nitric oxide and has positive effects on endothelial function
Dosage and administration:
Dogs/Cats @ 0.125 mg/kg to 0.25 mg/kg body weight Once Daily Dosing
Or as directed by the prescribing veterinarian
Overdoses / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:
Do not use in case of valvular stenosis, or obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Hypotension, hyperkalemia, and azotemia are potential adverse effects. Dosage can be reduced in case of hypotension/weakness or disorientation.

Store in a cool, dark and dry place. Protect from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Not for human use. For animal treatment only.

Safety: Age / Pregnancy/ Withdrawal:
The efficacy, tolerance & safety of ACE – Inhibitors are well-established and documented. But it is not recommended for breeding, pregnant and lactating bitches.
