Imidocarb dipropionate 120 mg
Aqueous base q.s.
Description & Mechanism of Action:
Babimido injection contains imidocarb dipropionate. It is used in the treatment and prevention of Babesiosis and Anaplasmosis in dogs, horses, and cattle.

Babimido injection is indicated in the treatment of
• Babesiosis
• Anaplasmosis
Doses and administration:
Cattle :
Babesiosis:
Treatment: 1 ml/ 100 kg b.w
Prevention: 2.5 ml/ 100 kg b.w
(effective upto 2 months)
Anaplasmosis:
2.5 ml/ 100 kg b.w
Administered by IM or SC route
Horse : 2 ml/ 100 kg b.w by IM route Repeat after 24 hours
Dog : 0.5 ml/ 10 kg b.w by SC route
Cats: Not indicated by the manufacturer
Overdoses / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:
Use in the appropriate dosage. Most commonly reported adverse effects in dogs include pain, inflammation during injection, and mild cholinergic signs like salivation, nasal drip, and brief episodes of vomiting. Must not be given by intravenous route. Avoid in hepatic and renal patients.
Do not self medicate to avoid side effects and complications.
Pharmaceutical precautions / Instructions:
Store in a cool and dry place at 2 – 25°C. Protect from light.
Safety: Age / Pregnancy/ Withdrawal:
Safety in puppies, pregnant, lactating, or breeding animals has not been established. Imidocarb has no reported withdrawal side effects.
Habit-forming: No. Need to be repeated for prophylaxis or treatment.
