Ingredients & Composition:

Each  Dose of Vencomax 8 contains live attenuated strains of:

Canine Parvo virus (CPV-2 – 2a, 2b, 2c), Canine Distemper virus, two serovars of Leptospira: L. canicola and L. icterohaemorrhagiae, Canine Adeno virus type 1 (Infectious canine hepatitis – ICH), canine corona virus, and Canine Para-influenza virus.

Vencomax 8 is a low-cost usual quality vaccine. It is a live attenuated freeze-dried vaccine for the immunization of dogs against canine distemper virus (CDV), canine parvovirus (CPV), two serovars of Leptospira: L. canicola and L. icterohaemorrhagiae, canine contagious hepatitis / infectious canine hepatitis (ICH), canine adenovirus, canine coronavirus (CCV) and respiratory disease caused by canine parainfluenza (CPi).

Vencomax 8 is a core 8 in 1 vaccine which contains attenuated antigens to stimulate active immunity in dogs against 6 main diseases and two frequent serovars of Leptospira. Vaccine recommended for endemic areas dogs with a high risk of leptospirosis exposure.

Indication / Uses:

Vencomax 8 is indicated for active immunization of healthy dogs against

  • Canine distemper virus (CDV) infection.
  • Canine parvovirus infection (CPV).
  • Canine parainfluenza virus (CPi).
  • Canine adenovirus infection
  • ICH – Infectious canine hepatits
  • Leptospirosis ( canicola and L. icterohaemorrhagiae)
  • Canine corona virus infection

Dosage and administration:

Administer 1 mL dose per animal, intramuscularly or subcutaneously, regardless of race and weight.

Primary course vaccination

In dogs of 45 days of age or older.

Revaccination

A 2nd and 3rd and 4th dose should be administered 21 days apart. It may be necessary a 4th dose.

Annual revaccination with a single dose is recommended.

Unvaccinated adult animals: 2 doses with 21 days of interval between them. Revaccinate annually.

International Recommendation: The vaccination protocol with 4 or 5 doses at the first vaccination follows recommendations from WSAVA (World Small Animal Veterinary Association)

Overdoses / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:

Like other vaccines, anaphylactic or hypersensitivity reactions may occur which can be treated accordingly.  Only healthy dogs should be vaccinated.

Pharmaceutical precautions / Instructions: 

The vaccine must be stored in the original container between 2 °C and 8 °C. Protect from light. Do not freeze.

Safety: Age / Pregnancy/ Withdrawal:

Vencomax 8 vaccine is safe for use in puppies from 45 days of age.  Safety in pregnant and lactating animals has not been stated by the manufacturer. Vaccinate healthy puppies or dogs only.

Habit forming:  No, But Protocol should be followed according to the guidelines to achieve immunity.
