Hydrocortisone     0.5% w/w

Description / Action: 

Prurigo spray is the Dermal Cortisone with all positives. Prurigo contains Hydrocortisone; is a potent dermal cortisone therapy for canine inflammatory dermatitis with varied etiology. It rapidly penetrates into the skin and gives pets much-needed relief from itching and inflammation without causing any side effects. Faster action: Hydrocortisone being lipophilic in nature is distributed fast and wide thus provides fast relief. It can subside allergic inflammation in 3 days.

Indication / Uses:

Prurigo Spray is a safe and convenient spray, should be used for symptomatic treatment of inflammation and pruritic skin condition. It has Evidence-based Clinical Applications in the following conditions:

• Atopic dermatitis
• Hot spot
• Flea allergic dermatitis
• Allergic dermatitis
• Infectious dermatitis
• Autoimmune disorders
• Insect bites

 Dosage and administration:

Hold the spray 1 0 cm over the affected area and spray directly on the affected area once daily for 7 days.

Duration: 7 days.

Over-dosage / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:

Not to be used on more than 1/3rd of the body surface and for a long duration.
Not to be used on cutaneous ulcers and in pus.
Not to be used in Cushing’s disease.
No systemic adverse effects seen as its absorption from the skin is low.

No skin atrophy is observed.

Overdose of topical forms is unlikely to happen. In the case of overdosing seek the veterinarian’s advice immediately. Always consult your veterinarian. Long-term use of steroids may cause serious side effects.
