Description / Action: 

OtikOO Ear drops are combination of antimicrobials and anti-inflammatory. It is helpful in the management of otitis externa complicated by bacterial and fungal infections.

Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone with a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity against otic infections but no ototoxicity. As a result, ofloxacin is recommended over aminoglycosides in any application involving the middle ear. Ofloxacin inhibits DNA gyrase, a bacterial enzyme involved in DNA replication, repair, deactivation, and transcription, and so has antibacterial properties.

Clotrimazole is a synthetic imidazole derivative. Clotrimazole is a broad-spectrum antifungal drug with fungicidal activity against Candida, Microsporum, Trichophyton, and other fungi that cause superficial mycotic infections of the outer or middle ear. Clotrimazole reduces the integrity of fungal cell walls by inhibiting the formation of ergosterol by fungal cytochrome P-450 inhibition. Clotrimazole inhibits fungal growth by decreasing the formation of ergosterol for the cytoplasmic membrane. Clotrimazole resistance is uncommon among the fungi that cause surface mycoses. Clotrimazole can also be used to treat gram-positive bacteria like Streptococci and Staphylococci. It’s the most common and widely used topical azole. Its antibacterial properties are beneficial in the treatment of mixed bacterial-fungal diseases.

Betamethasone dipropionate is an anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive glucocorticoid steroid.

Lignocaine Hydrochloride is a topical anaesthetic that has a low sensitivity and toxicity index. It helps to relieve ear-ache and stinging.

Indication / Uses:

In the treatment of
• Acute & Chronic Otitis externa associated with bacteria & Fungi.
• Relieves inflammation and targets the bacteria as well as fungi.
• Relieves pain by functioning as a local anaesthetic.
• Bacterial ear canal infections.

Dosage and administration / Directions for use:

Administer 8-10 drops in each ear
or as directed by the Veterinarian.
