Secondary Glaucoma can be result of decreased removal of fluid from internal eye, Uveitis (Inflammation of internal eye), Displacement of lens, eye cancer, and chronic retinal detachment. Major effect of Glaucoma includes increase in IOP (Intra Ocular Pressure) which is painful. The normal IOP is between 10-20 mmHg whereas in dogs & cats Glaucoma often results in increased pressure up to 30-50 mmHg. It can result in decreased activity such as less desire to play, Irritability, and decreased appetite. It also causes constant headache or migraine. Animal shows, pain in a different way.
