Each uncoated tablet contains: –

Praziquantel USP …………175 mg
Pyrantel Pamoate USP ….504 mg
Febantel BP (Vet) ………..525 mg
Protein Flavoured & Extremely Palatable

Description / Action: 

KDT XL Yum Tabs are broad spectrum dewormer for large dogs. It is effective against intestinal nematodes and cestodes.

Class: Dewormer / Endoparasiticide

Indication / Uses:

KTD XL Yum-Tab for Dogs contains three different ingredients having different modes of action & different spectra of activity
• Pyrantel & Febantel act against all relevant nematodes (ascardis, hookwarms & whipworms) in dogs.
• In particular, activity of spectrum covers Toxocara canis, Toxoscaris isonia, Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostomum canium & Trichuris vulpis.
• The spectrum of activity of Praziquantel covers all important cestode species in dogs in particular Taenia spp. Dipylidium canium, Echinococcus granulosus and Echinococcus multioccularis.

Three-way combination offers broad-spectrum coverage against GI tapeworms and roundworms in dogs.
• Synergistic action of pyrantel and febantel causes nematodal tissue destruction.
• An anthelmintic used in most schistosome and many cestode infestations.
• Praziquantel effects the permeability of the cell membrane resulting in the contraction of schistosomes.
• Pyrantel serves as a depolarizing neuromuscular blocking agent in helminths.
• Febentel blocks the whole energy management mechanism of the worms that are paralyzed and / or are expelled.

Dosage and administration / Directions for use:

The tablets can be given directly to the dog or disguised in food.
No starvation is needed before or after treatment.

17.5 kg body weight  ½ Tablet
Over 17.5 kg upto 35 kg body weight   1 Tablet
Over 35 kg upto 52.5 kg body weight 1.5 Tablets
Over 52.5 kg upto 70 kg body weight 2 Tablets

For routine treatment a single dose is recommended.

For routine control adult dogs should be treated every 3 months. In the event of heavy roundworm infestation a repeat dose should be given after 14 days Or

As directed by the Veterinarian.
For oral use in large dogs only.

Over-dosage / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:

Do not exceed the stated dose. Do not use it simultaneously with Piperazine compounds. Fleas serve as an intermediate host for one common type of Tapeworm – Dipylidium canium. Tapeworm infestation is certain to reoccur unless the control of intermediate hosts such as fleas, mice etc.
