Description / Action: 

Dual Purpose (Hot and Cold) Therapy Pack. Soft gel (Hot/Cold) pack is reusable and convenient gel pack for dual purpose therapy in dogs and cats.

Application:

• Cold pack is generally recommended for first 48 hours following injury.
• Relieves inflammation, swelling and pain.
• Hot pack is generally recommended 48 hours after injury.
• Improves flexibility of tendons, ligaments, reduce muscle spasm and alleviate pain
• Can be used at multiple sites (Knee, thigh, hip, back, shoulder, neck etc.)
• Economical and easy method.
• Suitable for continuous treatment, if required.

Instructions:

For cold use:

• Place pack in the freezer for up to 2 hours before use
• Wrap in a protective sleeve or cloth before applying directly to the skin
• Use pack in short intervals no longer than 20 minutes
• Remove pack if it is uncomfortable

For hot use:

• Place pack in the microwave for 20 seconds at 6OO W
• Increase heating time in 10 second intervals to reach desired temperature if needed
• Time should be reduced for microwaves with higher power ratings
• If pack expands like balloon, stop heating, let it cool and then use
• Remove pack carefully from microwave and knead to distribute heat evenly for desired temperature
• Wrap in a protective sleeve or cloth before applying directly to the skin
• Use pack in short intervals no longer than 20 minutes.
• Remove pack if it is uncomfortable

Precautions:

• Extreme temperatures can cause burns so never place pack directly onto the skin
• Always wrap pack in a protective sleeve or cloth before use
• Cease use if pack causes any discomfort
• Check pack for leakage before us
