About Parvoviral Enteritis

It is an enteric disease of dogs caused by Canine parvovirus (CPV).  Puppies are more susceptible, and it is highly contagious.

Symptoms and Effects of Parvoviral Infection

* Loss of appetite
* Vomiting
* Diarrhea, often bloody and foul-smelling
* Salivation
* Lowered white blood cell count
* Weakens the immune system
* Easier to get secondary infection/sepsis
* The bloody diarrhea may lead to death

Mode of action:

The tablet does not dissolve in stomach pH (<3). Therefore, the active ingredient of the tablet remains protected from acid-induced and proteolytic enzyme-mediated damage. The antibodies being the active ingredient are released when the tablet reaches the intestine. The CPV primarily causes infection of the intestine. Therefore, the released CPV-specific antibodies can effectively neutralize CPV in the vicinity and bring about a cure for parvoviral enteritis.
