Description / Action:
Omirise-P 40 injection contains pantoprazole lyophilized powder for injection for intravenous use in dogs and cats. It is a gastroprotective agent with 24-hour coverage and superior to Famotidine, Ranitidine & Cimetidine.
Pantoprazole is an antacid that belongs to a class of drugs known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). It is used to prevent and treat stomach ulcers and gastric acid-related diseases in dogs and cats. It is indicated for short-term treatment (7 to 10 days) of gastro-oesophageal reflux disease and a history of erosive esophagitis in dogs.

Indication / Uses:
It is indicated for use in the following conditions in dogs and cats
• Acute Gastric Ulcer
• Chronic Ulcer
• Peptic Ulcer
• Stomach Ulcer
• Gastritis
• Acid reflux
• During pre- and post-surgery
Dosage and administration:
To be given at 0.7 to 1 mg/ kg once daily
It can be given intravenous route only (should be administered slowly).
Do not give through the intramuscular (IM) or subcutaneous (SQ) route.
Directions for use:
Reconstitute the content of the vial with 10 ml sodium chloride injection IP included in this pack. Prick the ampoule of sodium chloride injection only once and discarded the empty ampoule. The reconstituted solution should be used immediately after preparation.
Overdoses / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:
Commonly observed side effects are nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and abdominal pain. If any foreign particle is visible in the vial after dissolving the contents please do not use the solution and return for a replacement.

Store near a cool and dry dark place. Protect from light and moisture. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
