Propoxur: For Prevention and treatment of ectoparasites like ticks, fleas, lice and mites in dogs.

Chlorhexidine: It is effective in skin conditions caused by bacteria and microorganisms. It works to help promote healthy skin and coat.

Turmeric extract: It energizes the scalp and creates an environment for the growth of healthy hair.

Aloe vera: Provides soothing relief and promotes healing. It has rejuvenating effect with a long-lasting fragrance.

Lozalo Propocure shampoo provides an effective external parasitic control which protect your dog with the power of Propoxur and Chlorhexidine gluconate. It is a soothing skin formula which also contains Aloe vera and Turmeric extract.

Fleas and ticks pose a year-round threat to your beloved pet. Not only can these pests cause skin irritations that can make life miserable for your dog, they may also transmit diseases to both your dog and your family. Irritation and continuous scratching paves the way for secondary bacterial infection.

Chlorhexidine gluconate is used as adjunctive therapy for bacterial skin infections caused by Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It is considered to have residual effects and can remain active on skin after rinsing.

Depending on the concentration, it possesses both bactericidal and bacteriostatic modes of action. A positively charged molecule in chlorhexidine attaches to the negatively charged surfaces of the bacterial cell wall.

Chlorhexidine affects the integrity of the cell wall. Chlorhexidine in high concentrations causes the cytoplasm to solidify or congeal.

Propoxur is an important carbamate insecticide used primarily against household insects and pests of domestic animals. Propoxur functions as an inhibitor of acetylcholinesterase (also known as AchE), an enzyme that hydrolyzes acetylcholine (Ach), on the neurological system of parasites as well as mammals, birds, fish, and many other creatures. A chemical known as Ach is involved in the transfer of nerve impulses between neurons in the brain (known as cholinergic brain synapses) and from nerves to muscles (referred to as neuromuscular junctions).

When Ach is the neurotransmitter (there are other neurotransmitters), AchE’s function is to stop the transmission of nerve impulses. Since carbamates impede the termination of those neurological signals by suppressing the action of AchE, the neurons continue to be constantly active and excited, which severely impairs the parasites’ ability to move normally. The parasites ultimately get paralysed and die more or less quickly. Carbamates bind reversibly to AchE.

Directions for use:

Wet the coat with water thoroughly. Take optimum quantity of shampoo. Apply to form a rich lather. Leave on the coat for 15-20 minutes. Rinse well with water and give a blow/ towel dry. Don’t allow to lick your pet until it gets dry.

Repeat the application at weekly intervals or according to severity as advised by your veterinarian.
