Description / Action:
DARTIX Spray contains Fipronil 0.25%. It is indicated for heavy Flea & Tick infestation. It is safe on pet’s hair and coat and stays for long duration for lasting protection.
Pharmacodynamics:
Fipronil blocks GABA-gated chloride channels in the central nervous system. Fipronil disrupts GABA receptors, which inhibits chloride ion uptake and causes excessive stimulation of neurons and the target insect’s death.

Indication / Usage:
Dartix Spray is indicated for the effective treatment and prevention of all life stages of ectoparasites including Ticks responsible for tick fever, flea causing Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD) and lice in dogs and cats.
Dosage/ Administration:
Heavy infestation -12 pumps/kg
Moderate infestation – 9 pumps/kg
Mild infestation – 6 pumps/kg
or as directed by Veterinarian.
Directions for Use:
Calculate the total dose required as per the above guidelines and apply equally across pet’s left side, right side, shoulder from head to tail, face, and belly. Spray on the body from 15 cm distance in a well-ventilated room.
• Apply spray directly on the pet’s skin.
• The drug cannot absorb and pervade into the skin so do not attempt to apply on the hair/ coat.
Recommended Strategic Application
For best results spray on
• All interdigital spaces and the inner side of the paws
• In and around the ears. Ensure no drug dribbles down into the ear canal.
• Lower aspect of the neck and armpits.
• Start from the tail, on the top midline, and proceed over the torso and neck, before finishing between the ears.
• Make two horizontal applications starting from the thigh region towards the shoulder blades over the abdomen and chest, on both sides.
• Avoid spraying directly into the mouth inner ear and eyes.
Frequency of application:
For best results use once in 10 days.
Always use after the recommendation of your veterinarian.
Targeted Species:
Dogs and Cats
Dartix (fipronil) Spray should not be used in Rabbits.
Overdosage / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:
Temporary clumping or spiking of the hair may be seen at the application site after treatment. Mild and transient skin reactions at the application site (itching, hair loss) may occur. If the cat licks the application site after treatment, temporary excessive salivation can be observed.
Safety/ Pregnancy/ Age:
Fipronil is indicated for dogs and cats. It is approved for use on all Dogs and Cats including breeding. pregnant, and lactating female dogs, queens, puppies, and kittens as young as 8 weeks.
