Gamma linolenic acid (GLA) – 110 mg
Linoleic acid (LA) – 190 mg
Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA as fish oil) – 15.4 mg
Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA as fish oil) – 10.3 mg
d- alpha – Tocopherol (Vitamin E) – 10 mg
Vitamin A (as Vitamin A palmitate) – 100 IU

It is not easy to maintain optimum nutrition to maintain good health with home food or regular diet. Pets – dogs and cats in certain situations, needs to be supplemented through nutrients. Omega 3 and Omega 6 Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) are one of such groups of nutrients. Coatex EFA contains Omega 3 and Omega 6 EFAs along with vitamin A, Vitamin D, and Vitamin E. It is a better blend of ingredients than using a single EFA source such as evening primrose oil. Coatex EFA is a balanced blend of essential oils that have been identified as being beneficial for maintaining coat and skin conditions in dogs and cats. Linoleic acid (LA) – It is an omega 6 that is particularly useful in maintaining optimal skin turnover and barrier function. It is a building block for the intercellular ceramide layer and epidermal cell membranes.
Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) – It is an omega 6 that is not very widely available but is very useful in maintaining healthy skin. It maintains healthy keratinocytes and promotes cell maturation. It is a key eicosanoid precursor to anti-inflammatory prostaglandin PG-1.
Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) – an omega 3 that is known to help with the many bodily functions
Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) – an omega 3 known to support various actions in the body and skin.
(Both EPA and DHA are precursors for the formation of anti-inflammatory eicosanoids prostaglandin PG-3, and leukotriene LT-5)
Vitamin E – a potent fat-soluble antioxidant. It helps in the protection of the cell membranes and epidermal cells.
Vitamin A – a lipid-soluble vitamin that helps to maintain healthy skin and coat. It is essential for epidermal cell turnover and keratinization.
Vitamin D – a lipid-soluble vitamin that aids skin turnover and coat conditioning.

Indication / Uses:
Coatex EFA has a wide range of indicated skin conditions. There are a few signs of potential skin and coat problems, some of which may lead to skin complaints.
• Coat health – helps improve the health of their coat to bring back its shine in case of dull coat
• Dry or reddened skin
• Scaly or flaky skin and repeated skin problems
• Excessive itching – helps soothe itchy and damaged skin
• Poor hair growth
• Areas of red or moist skin
• Skin complaints – one of the most common health problems in cats
• Bacteria build-up – typically caused by infrequent washing which leads to an overgrowth of bacteria that naturally live on the skin.
• Fungal growth – usually caused by an overgrowth of a type of yeast that naturally lives on the skin or fungal pathogens such as ringworm.
• Indicated in skin issues like general pyodermatitis, atopic dermatitis, food sensitivity, contact dermatitis, idiopathic dermatitis, flea allergic dermatitis, seborrhoea, etc.
Dosage and administration:
1 capsule or 1 pump per 10 kg body weight daily for four to six weeks depending on results and other concurrent regimes. Coatex EFA comes in either a gel capsule or a liquid pump, to suit the needs of you and your pet. Your veterinarian will advise on the quantity to feed. Both Coatex EFA capsule and liquid can be given alone or mixed in with food.
Overdoses / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:
Always follow prescribed or recommended doses. Consult your veterinarian in case of very young pets and pets who are weighing less than 10 kg. Side effects and contraindications have not been mentioned/reported. It can be given along with other treatments and medications for skin diseases.

Always store in a cool and dry place. Keep away from direct sunlight.
